I’ve been trying to find a proper way to introduce myself for a few days now. I’m teetering on the brink of losing my sanity, so forgive me as I put this plainly…
My name is Matthew Malin, and I’m 24 years old living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I’ve been an avid lover of literature and writing for the better part of…well, all of my life. If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I’m an over-thinker, and an awkward one at that. I love to analyze anything and everything that falls within the category of daily life.
I’m particularly drawn to Baseball, Theme Parks, and meaningful relationships. I hate small talk. Ironic, though, isn’t it? Seeing as to how I’m doing nothing but making small talk. Maybe that’s why I’m having a hard time putting this to paper.
I’m addicted to transparency. Everything I write is tinged with honesty and love. I’ve been through hell, but I know you have too. I want you to know you’re not alone. I want my writing to remind you of your distinct purpose and to give you life. Hope is to be found if you’re willing to search for it.
I hope that, in reading my poetry, you find a deeper level of beauty than you have ever found. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real.
You can find more of my inane rambling on my personal blog and media:
You are loved.
You are valued.
